They’d offered it to me nearly every time I visited the
neurology clinic over the past four years, but in-patient video EEG testing
sounded expensive, tedious and frankly like overkill for my pesky simple
partial seizures.
But this time I said, “yes.”
Not because I’m sick, but because I’m sick and tired of
taking medication that doesn’t work. I’m sick of all the hypothesizing about
what’s going on with my brain. I’m sick of living with the fear that is
epilepsy.
Options one and two were more meds.
Option four was brain surgery.
